The RingConn Gen1 Ring is practical, powerful and a true battery miracle. There is hardly any criticism of the hardware. Only the app leaves something to be desired in some areas - especially with regard to translation (especially in German) and the usability of the individual suggestions for optimizing the scores - these are often too general and have little relevance in practice. Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio is competitive at the highest level.
As far as hardware goes, the battery life is particularly impressive. In the test, the ring lasts between six and seven days on a full chargeAnd that's not all, the delivery also includes a small portable charging box included. According to the description, this should provide up to 150 days of battery life. These values are particularly impressive when compared to the industry. Oura has followed up with the new Gen4 ring (up to 8 days according to the description). The competition from Circular, Samsung and Ultrahuman is still lagging behind. The Gen2 from RingConn even claims an outstanding 10-12 days of battery life. We are excited to see how this can be proven in a future test.
In the following we will look at the individual test aspects in more detail.
Design
The RingConn Gen1 Ring impresses with its modern and elegant design. The flat profile height makes it an attractive choice for users who want to wear an unobtrusive, wearable smart ring.
Like other smart rings, the RingConn model available in all common sizes. It should be noted that the sizes tend to be slightly smallerthan is the case with comparison rings. For example, RingConn size 9 is more like size 8 for Ultrahuman and Co. We therefore recommend not to judge from one brand to another and always use the associated sizing kit. This arrives very quickly in the mailbox - after ordering, it only took two days until we could hold the size set in our hands.
Weighing just 4g and 2,5mm thick, the RingConn Gen1 is one of the lighter smart rings on the market. The various finish options, including matte black and shiny silver, ensure that the ring looks stylish both in everyday life and on special occasions. Also noteworthy is the resistance to scratchesAfter two months of consistent everyday use, there are only minimal signs of wear on the underside. In comparison, the Circular Ring was much more susceptible to signs of wear.

comfort and usability
The workmanship of the RingConn Gen1 is high quality, which is reflected in an extremely comfortable wearing experience. The ring sits securely, which is important to avoid inaccurate measurements due to movementOther users often report that they hardly feel the ring, which makes it ideal for 24/7 use - we can only confirm this in our test.
As with all rings, you will notice that the circumference of your fingers varies throughout the day with the RingConn Ring. However, this is due less to the hardware than to human physiology. smooth surface with the two measuring hills on the inside ensures a very good hold even despite the variability.
features and performance
The RingConn Gen1 is a powerful health monitor that offers continuous heart rate monitoring, sleep analysis and activity tracking. It also provides real-time data on body temperature and SpO2 levels.
Compared to other rings, the measurement frequency is slightly lower – This is particularly noticeable in comparison to the Circular Ring, which very often determines all possible parameters.
The lower measurement frequency is at least very positive for the battery life. For people who don't need an oxygen saturation measurement every few minutes during the day while working, the RingConn Ring is certainly the better choice. We think that the balance in favor of battery life has been achieved very well here.
One of the outstanding features of the RingConn is its support for sports activities with detailed analyses of training performance.
The integration of reminder functions for medication, supplements, etc. is particularly praiseworthy. However, there are no unique selling points in terms of functionality. RingConn Gen1 covers a very broad measurement spectrum that can also be found in other high-end rings. The RingConn Smartring does not have a vibration function.
User experience
The user experience with the RingConn Gen1 is positive in and of itself, but there are minor weaknesses in the app. The app offers comprehensive data analysis that is readable but sometimes feels overloaded. There are some charting options, but they would require a more intuitive approach to data visualization.
The regular software updates that took place during the test period definitely helped to improve the user interface. Compared to the Circular Ring, which was also tested, the frequency was significantly lower - that was definitely a positive thing.
A major update in November has significantly improved user-friendliness and given the entire app experience a new look. This included a new AI feature (RingConn health companion), which now creates health and lifestyle plans based on the measured data. You can also interact with the AI. This is extremely exciting and only after several months of use will it be clear how useful the new feature is. In addition to RingConn, Circular with an AI assistant in the app.
We didn't find any bugs during the test period. The connection between the ring and the smartphone was always established quickly and there were never any problems with the transfer. In addition, the daily synchronization is completed in less than a minute and you can view your sleep score etc. after a very short time.
Battery life
The battery life of the RingConn Gen1 is remarkable compared to other smart rings. With normal use, the battery can last up to seven days, making it a practical companion for users who want to wear the ring around the clock. Charging is done via the very attractive charging case included in the delivery. It contains energy for a total of 150 days. Assuming an average battery life of 6 days, a full charging case can provide a total of 25 full ring charges.
The charging box itself is an absolute highlight and also a unique selling point. While competing products rely on more or less practical charging cables or charging docks, you can simply charge the RingConn Ring on the go in your handbag - without the need for a power bank or the like.
Price
The RingConn Gen1 was last for €269 which places it in the lower middle range of smart rings. Compared to competitors such as Oura (with mandatory subscription) and Ultrahuman (optional subscription), it is a more cost-effective option without sacrificing features or hardware. Of the more popular models, only the Circular Ring is cheaper.
Additionally, the price includes all the necessary features, without additional subscriptions or hidden costs that are common with other providers. This makes the price-performance ratio one of the best of all smart rings.

Conclusion
Overall, the RingConn Gen1 ring offers numerous useful functions, an attractive design and, as a highlight, a portable charging case. Despite minor weaknesses in the app's user interface, the ring performs very well in important areas such as health monitoring and wearing comfort.
For users who are looking for a reliable and stylish health monitor and value a very long battery life, the RingConn Gen1 is an excellent choice. The combination of functional features and attractive design makes it one of the most competitive options in the smart ring market.
The Gen2 was recently launched. With a battery life of 10-12 days and sleep apnea detection, it has some great new features. The successor model is also lighter and thinner than its predecessor. We are excited about the new features and look forward to testing it in the future.
